In a game that was similar in all the wrong ways to the Timberwolves' matchup against the Knicks, The Phoenix Suns, who were missing star point guard Chris Paul and sharpshooting forward Cam Johnson, defeated the Wolves at Target Center on Wednesday. The Wolves were without Austin Rivers and Naz Reid, and the big 3 of ANT, Gobert, and KAT were all in early foul trouble. Even with the best players on the floor, the Wolves looked sluggish, confused, and seemed to have no level of cohesion or chemistry. Now, the Wolves return to Memphis to face the team that bounced them from the playoffs last year. Ja Morant and his supporting cast have been off to a great start this season, sitting at 8-4 to Minnesota's 5-7. This will be another difficult matchup for the Wolves (you can't play Houston every night), and fans will have their eyes peeled for how Chris Finch approaches this game after the Wolves have had two consecutive games where they have been down 20+ points during the contest.

Injury Report:
MIN: Naz Reid, OUT (illness)
MEM: Jaren Jackson Jr., OUT (foot); Ziaire Williams, OUT (knee); Danny Green, OUT (knee)
Game Preview:
Ja Morant will look to continue his scorching start to the season; he is currently averaging just under 29 points per game while also shooting 45% (!) from the 3-point line. Desmond Bane is pitching in 25 points per game of his own, shooting 47/46/90.
The Wolves will look to show some promise as to what this experiment could end up being with enough time and energy dedicated to cohesion and chemistry. There isn't much else to ask from a team that has fallen this far already.
