The Blazers won a gritty game last night against the Charlotte Hornets 105 to 95. I knew we were in for a fight despite all the injuries to the Hornets key rotational players. Defense could have been way better to start and the Blazers found themselves down as many as 12 points in the 3rd, but once the offense started clicking, the tide turned. Once the Blazers took the lead late in the 3rd, they never surrendered it again. Dame led the way with 26 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds on 50% shooting in an uncharacteristically poor free throw shooting performance. Simons struggled shooting from the field, but still poured in 19 points. Eubanks filled in for an injured Nurk and held it down nicely, pouring in 14 points, grabbing 8 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 blocks. The bench was AMAZING as Shaedon Sharpe continues to impress, along with Watford, Little, and Walker. The young core is going to benefit so well from these kind of rotations. I'm so excited for this team's future. The Trail Blazers are now 8-3 on the year.
Next Up: A matchup against an old friend in NOLA on the second night of this back to back.
